The Enrolment Office recently hosted two interactive myQAP Workshops on site at the St Leonards office in Sydney. The intention of running these workshops was to allow participants to receive a guided tour of the myQAP website, highlighting any changes to the system, as well as an opportunity to ask questions about the various website functionalities and a chance to provide some feedback.
Upon receiving an encouraging response from an expression of interest that was sent out to candidates in the Sydney metropolitan area, a decision was made to run the workshops on two different days. The first workshop was held on Tuesday 5th July in the morning and the second was held on Thursday the 7th in the afternoon and despite the dreary weather, we had a good turn out on both days, the first day holding approximately 20 guests, the second day approximately 24.
Our Enrolment Office Supervisor talked through a detailed presentation whilst demonstrating live on-screen examples of how to perform different tasks within the myQAP system. We also had some valuable input from our IT Software Manager who talked the attendees through some upcoming system improvements that will undoubtedly benefit our participants.
This open forum allowed participants to ask some interesting questions and a short interval where light refreshments were served, allowed the attendees an opportunity to talk amongst themselves and network. Each attendee completed a short feedback survey at the end of the session and the responses were very positive. Most of the attendees also expressed that they would recommend this workshop to a colleague.
“Refresher course to staff already using it but good for new staff for access & learn how to use it.”
“Having common number for all disciplines – good to hear on the way!”
“Workshop set good.”
